Congratulations to Dr. Kristin Gerson, MD Ph.D. on her appointment to the Jerome F. Strauss III, MD Ph.D. Assistant Professorship of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Appointment to an endowed professorship is one of academia’s highest honors recognizing excellence in scholarship and academic achievement. Dr. Gerson’s translational research is in reproductive biology specifically focused on microbiome-metabolome interactions governing cervical remodeling and preterm birth.
